Recently, the former Vice-Premier Wu Yi paid a visit to master Zhang Tonglu's studio. He tried to communicate with Zhang Tonglu on the development of cloisonné art and learned more about the various manufacturing processes of cloisonné. During the period, Zhang Xu, the inheritor of Zhang's cloisonné, introduced the classic works of cloisonné art which were jointly launched by Zhang Tonglu and the Beijing Rong Hui Arts Center. Wu Yi highly praised the national gift “Dj Jun Rex” which was given from president Xi Jinping to South Korea president in June, “Auspicious”, and other works. He also appreciated the great efforts and achievements Zhang Tonglu had made in the inheritance and innovation of the cultural heritage of cloisonné.
